【摘要】:Thegaugeisintendedtoprovideameansformeasuringtotalimageunsharpnessasindependentlyaspracticablefromtheimagingsystemcontrastsensitivitylimitations.FurtherdescriptionanddetailsofthegaugeareprovidedinEN-462-5:1994.Thegaugecanbeusedinconjunctionwithacontrastsensitivitymeasuringgauge,asdescribedinPracticeE1647.1.1Thispracticecoversthedesignandbasicuseofagaugeusedtodeterminethetotalimageunsharpnessofradiographsandradioscopicsystems.1.2ThispracticeisapplicabletoradiographicandradioscopicimagingsystemsutilizingX-rayandgammarayradiationsources.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thegaugedescribedcanbeusedeffectivelywithradiationenergiesupto400kv.Whenusingenergiesinthemegavoltrangetheresultsmaynotbecompletelysatisfactory.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
