【摘要】:Thisspecificationcontainsreferencetables(Tables8-23)thatgivetemperature-electromotiveforce(emf)relationshipsforTypesB,E,J,K,N,R,S,andTthermocouples.Thesearethethermocoupletypesmostcommonlyusedinindustry.Alsoincludedarelistsofstandardandspecialtolerancesoninitialvaluesofemfversustemperatureforthermocouples(Table1),thermocoupleextensionwires(Table2),andcompensatingextensionwiresforthermocouples(Table3).Tables4-5,includedherein,givedataoninsulationcolorcodingforthermocoupleandthermocoupleextensionwiresascustomarilyusedintheUnitedStates.RecommendationsregardinguppertemperaturelimitsforthethermocoupletypesreferredtoinaregiveninTable6.Tables24-43givetemperature-emfdataforsingle-legthermoelementsreferencedtoplatinum(NISTPt67).ThetablesincludevaluesforTypesBP,BN,JP,JN,KP(sameasEP),KN,NP,NN,TP,andTN(sameasEN).TablesforTypesRP,RN,SP,andSNthermoelementsarenotincludedsince,nominally,Tables18-21representthethermoelectricpropertiesofTypeRPandSPthermoelementsreferencedtopureplatinum.PolynomialcoefficientsthatmaybeusedforcomputationofthermocoupleemfasafunctionoftemperaturearegiveninTable7.Coefficientsfortheemfofeachthermocouplepairaswellasfortheemfofindividualthermoelementsversusplatinumareincluded.CoefficientsforsetsofinversepolynomialsaregiveninTable44.Thesemaybeusedforcomputingacloseapproximationoftemperature(C)asafunctionofthermocoupleemf.Inversefunctionsareprovidedonlyforthermocouplepairsandarevalidonlyovertheemfrangesspecified.Thisspecificationisintendedtodefinethethermoelectricpropertiesofmaterialsthatconformtotherelationshipspresentedinthetablesofthisstandardandbeartheletterdesignationscontainedherein.Topicssuchasorderinginformation,physicalandmechanicalproperties,workmanship,testing,andmarkingarenotaddressedinthisspecification.TheuserisreferredtospecificstandardssuchasSpecificationsE235,E574,E585,E608,E1159,orE1223,asappropriate,forguidanceintheseareas.Thetemperature-emfdatainthisspecificationareintendedforindustrialandlaboratoryuse.
